[End Of Information]

It appeared a lot had also changed in my Status Window. I keenly observed the differences compared to the previous ones that had been displayed.

For one, my Titles were now visible for me to see. Multiple stats had several boosts due to the passive effects of my Skills, so I was more powerful than my Level required me to be.

“Hmm, as expected, closing a Gate increases (G) Karma Points as well!” I grinned, noticing that the number which was previously only in its 130s had taken a sharp rise to 600.

My last closed Gate didn’t give me that many (G) Karma Points. I had to assume it must have been due to the difficulty of this one.

Regardless, I wasn’t complaining about it. Unfortunately, I needed a whole lot more if wanted to advance my Gift to Rank B. Ten thousand (G) Karma Points to be precise.

Even though there were so many good changes, I couldn’t overlook the rather troublesome-looking ones.

For example, the fact that there was a piece of extra information there that labeled me a singularity. I knew it was true and I had the Title to prove it, but it still didn’t make it any better.

The one that caused me the most alarm, though, was that my (G) Factor had reduced once again. This special portion of my System Information, just like (G) Karma Points, was unique to me alone. No other Gifted had it, so that naturally made me antsier.

‘If I remember clearly I started off with a total of 90 as my (G) Factor. It kept reducing, and I still didn’t know how it worked.

I had dismissed it previously since I had no way to stop it, but now I was really having a bad feeling.

‘What happens once it reaches zero?’

Once that thought came over me, I felt a shiver circulate through my body, resonating from my soul. Once again, I began to feel like I was forgetting something… something very important! I just couldn’t tell what it was!

“Argh! How annoying!” I growled, not liking the fact that there was something about myself that was out of my control.

“I need to analyze this carefully… the only times the numbers of (G) Factor reduced were…”

My incredibly sharp mind went into overdrive as I began scanning through my past experiences. It didn’t take me very long to figure out a connection between all the events I narrowed down.

“It has been in situations where I have been in immense danger. That time I nearly died when those Hell Kobolds rushed me. That time with the Hell Kobold King, I almost died too! The Horde was another danger I faced. I lost (G) Factor when facing a great number of Hobgoblins at some points and then now after the Subjugation was complete, a chunk of 30 Points was deducted?

Why?

I once again pieced together the pieces until I realized it, at least to an extent.

“I was supposed to die in all of those instances!”

Looking back, the Hell Kobold King would have killed me if I didn’t Select a Job back then. Same with the Horde. I somehow always managed to survive no matter the odds, and anytime I did, the (G) Factor numbers reduced.

This time it went down a whole lot. That could only mean one thing… death was imminent in this venture, yet I had managed to pull through once again.

“So, the (G) Karma Points allow me to upgrade myself, while the (G) Factor saves me from any danger and conveniently helps me win.

I gulped the moment I realized what would happen the moment the point hit zero!

‘I should have known… so this is what is known as Plot Armor, uh? Too bad mine is limited!’

If I was careless and threw myself into danger, hoping to survive as a result of my (G) Factor, my luck would run out eventually… and I would die.

There were so many strange things about the System and the world I still didn’t understand, but one peaked above all others.

“Why?”

Why was I given such unique effects on my System? I was obviously different from the others! The only one who could pull such a thing off was God, the guy I met back in the Sacred Hall, the same guy who kicked me out for being noisy.

He was responsible for all this! It was too absurd to blame this all on me oversleeping on Christmas. There had to be some other reason, a deeper connection… I just couldn’t figure it out.

“Huu, I don’t know what’s going on in that white guy’s mind. Tch, I wonder if he’s watching me right now…”

Of course, he had to be.

Just as I looked down and observed the struggles of other Gifteds while dwelling in the Sacred Hall, he must have also been doing the same to me and everyone else. He now had all the time and room to himself.

‘Hmmn, being watched like this feels… a little unpleasant…’

Still, it was out of my control, so there was nothing to do about it. I was currently strong, most likely Moe powerful than any Gifted currently. However, with all these mysteries piling up, I wasn’t very much at ease.

A gnawing emotion ate at me from the inside out, as though trying to pass a message that I couldn’t understand. I felt restless, painfully so.

“<Recall>” I muttered, getting off of the throne and standing on my two feet.

I looked around me and saw an empty plain, bustling with nothing.

Gifteds were allies. Demons were enemies. God was the spectator.

That was how I had thought of things up until this moment. However, I couldn’t help but wonder… what if that logic was all flawed?

What if… things weren’t so simple?

The atmosphere was full of chilly air, though it didn’t really affect me due to my Stats. It was dark, but I barely noticed since I could see clearly.

It was night already!

“I should head back now… this has been fun.”

Usually, a group would say this, but since I was the only one… I had to resort to my lonely voice in the vast compound.

“Subjugation Complete!”
